3 Winning Products To Dropship In January 2021 + Targeting Suggestions & Store/Ad Reviews

Happy new year everyone!

In this week’s article, I’m going to share 3 winning products you must sell in January 2021 and I’m going to give you professional targeting suggestions for each product.

On top of that, you will also find store and ad reviews where it’s needed + selling strategies so you can take these products and make some bank.

find winning products to dropship

1. Leather Repair Patch For Furniture

The first product I’m going to recommend selling this year is this amazing leather repair patch. Instead of throwing out your old chair or sofa outside because of some tear, you can simply stick this leather patch on it and it will look as new.

What I like about this product is that it solves a problem and most importantly it can also save a lot of money for people. And with COVID-19 still running wild worldwide, some people won’t be able to afford new furniture so this product can save them a lot of money.

In the right hands and with the right marketing plan, this product has a huge potential to make some bank so don’t waste your time and be the first to jump on it!

Store Review:

Before I go into what they did right or wrong on their product page, I want to first talk about all the different color options this product has. As you can see from the screenshot above or if you visit the product page on Aliexpress, this leather repair patch product has A LOT of color options.

All these color options automatically make it risky for us to dropship this product because we don’t have the product in our hands so we can’t be 100% sure about the colors. So proceed with caution with this product and do your homework before spending money on ads and making sales.

My tip is to try and get some live pictures and maybe a video from the supplier to have a better look on the colors. Or use a Chinese agent or a fulfillment company that can order all these patches to quality check them before you start selling. We want to make sure the colors of this product match the default furniture colors.

Another option is to play it safe and offer minimum risk colors such as Black, Gray, Red, and probably White. Just by having the Black color patch available, you can reach a good number of potential customers who will buy it from you. If you play it safe, you can start selling this product even today.

Based on the reviews, it looks like most customers are happy with their product and with the shipping so I think it’s safe and we can proceed with this product. If it were me, I would probably play it safe at first and offer just a few color options and not the whole inventory.

Here’s what they did wrong:

Variants – They have the color options in their product pictures but their variants are just simple text. It would’ve worked much better if they had an app that could transform the simple color variant into color swatches.

There are plenty of apps that can do that for you which will make it much easier for your customers to choose the color they need. Search for “color swatch” in the Shopify app store and you’ll find plenty of good apps you can use.

Reviews – They did import reviews which is great but they missed the good ones and kept some of the really negatives ones. Remember to display the good reviews first and choose the ones that make your product look the best.

Frequently bought together product bundle – A bunch of random products with no real connection offered as a bundle will not get you any extra sales. This will only cause a delay in sales and can hurt your conversion rate because no one in their right mind will pick such a bundle. Please don’t offer random products in bundles or upsells because it will only delay the purchase process!

Same thing goes for the “You may also like” category of random products…

Here’s what they did right:

Product description – I really like the structure and the GIFs they used to really show the product in its full glory and explain how to use it. They have trust badges, guarantees, shipping times, and everything else you need to have in your description. The grammar isn’t the best but it’ll work so it doesn’t really bother me this time.

Quantity discounts – A great way to increase the average order value! Their only mistake here is not having any buttons to instantly add the product to the cart(there are apps that offer that in the Shopify app store).

Targeting:

This product is really general so we can target home owners, furniture companie, etc, which will give us infinite amount of audiences. If we go this way, it will be like playing the lottery and we’ll probably need a big budget to hit the sweet-spot with this product.

Instead of just going general here, let’s think who needs this product the most – My first thought was parents with children who usually tend to ruin stuff. If we target parents, there’s a chance some of them have a ruined sofa they still didn’t throw out and our product will help them fix it. So the first good targeting choice are parents and the photo above is how you target them.

My second choice are cat owners who usually have at least one piece of furniture ruined because cats really like to scratch stuff. And if I remember correctly, this product is also anti-scratch so it really fits cat owners 😉

Here’s a quick cat owners targeting example:

Based on my experience in the cat niche, women 35+ combined with cat food interests is the best way to find passionate cat owners. Later if you get some traction, you can try a bit younger audience and even add men.

2. Dog Chewy Ball Toy

The second product is this really cool chewy ball toy that can be filled with food/dog treats to make it even more fun for the dog to play with it. It has excellent reviews on aliexpress with plenty of photos we can use and the price is pretty cheap which leaves us a good profit margin.

There’s also a video of two dogs playing with this toy on the Aliexpress seller page so you can use this footage for your video ad. If you search for this product on Aliexpress, you’ll find even more footage you can use so making a video ad for this product will be simple.

This product is self-explanatory so a simple video of dogs playing with this toy can be enough to start making sales.

Targeting:

Targeting dog owners isn’t hard and you have plenty of interests you can use to reach your target audience. Your only issue here will be what interests to choose from Facebook’s big list and how you’re going to use them.

You can either go for mixed adsets with interests layered down as you see in the screenshot above OR you can go with the one interest per adset method. Personally, if I run CBO ads, I prefer keeping only one interest per adset and testing about 5-7 interests to see how it goes.

So instead of layering down all the interests, it’s going to look like this:

Each adset will have a different interest in it and it doesn’t really matter the size as long as it’s at least more than 1 million. Put the interests you think will work the best and let Facebook do it’s work and choose the one works best.

Here’s a Youtube video by Serban where he explains the 2 best testing methods with Facebook ads:

Selling Strategy:

This products costs about $10 including shipping on Aliexpress so we can sell it for $24.99 + Free Shipping or even $29.99 + Free Shipping. This product has excellent reviews you can import to your store so all is left is a great description to make this product look premium.

This product has 4 colors but my advice is to offer maximum 2 colors – You can go with the blue one you see in the video and the red one. Don’t let your customers think too much about the color and make it more easier for them to choose 1 color and proceed to checkout. Last thing we want to happen is for our customers to stop and think what color they should choose and waste precious time when they could’ve already reach the checkout page.

Quantity discounts:

A lot of people have more than one dog so offer quantity discounts on your product page. You can go with a 15% discount for 2 chewing toys and an extra 5% discount per each additional toy they add to their cart.

The golden rule here is to not be cheap and offer joke discounts such as 3% or 5%… Don’t be jokers! Give people a good discount to have them order more.

Bundles:

I usually don’t offer any bundles because you really need good products with a real connection between them to make it work for you. And to make it faster, you also need to offer self-explanatory products in the bundle for people not to waste too much time reading each product’s description.

If you want to offer a bundle, you can go with a calming dog pet bed & maybe a teeth cleaning chewing toy. These products are easy to understand so there’s no real need to check them out and they’re all super popular in the dog niche so it could really work.

3. Remote Control Snake Toy For Cats

Our third and last product is this amazing remote control snake toy for cats. As the title says, this toy is meant for cats probably because biting is going to ruin the electronics in this toy and cats simply don’t do that.

When it was first posted on Ecomhunt, it had about 1.5k likes and more than 600 shares.

And now the original ad has over 20k likes and more than 4k comments! They did really well selling this toy and even now they’re still running ads to it.

This cat snake toy has amazing reviews on Aliexpress and it still can make a lot more sales. A lot of countries out there are entering again into a new lockdown and people will have nothing to do but to buy stuff for themselves and their pets.

If you want to sell this cat toy, you’ll have to create a new and better ad OR market it to audiences these dropshippers haven’t reached yet. A lot of dropshippers focus on USA and English speaking countries, so if you can market it to Germany, France, or even Italy, you can hit jackpot.

And if by chance you speak the language, then you’ll have a big advantage over most of dropshippers out there. We have users who market exclusively to a single country in EU and they’re making huge numbers each month.

Ad Review:

Unlike Amazon/Ebay, Facebook isn’t a marketplace and people have no intention to buy something unless it’s a good product they really need. The first 2-3 seconds of your video ad must have that WOW effect to stop people from scrolling their feeds and check out your ad.

When it comes to cats and their toys, it’s really hard to go wrong because almost every shot you use will be a great start to your video ad. In this case, they started by showing us all 4 shots of the cats playing with their toys and looks like it worked well for them ?

Next they went and showed each shot separately with some text about the product. In my opinion, they wait too much time between the shots but it’s really nitpicking at this point because other than that the video is perfect.

The call-to-action at the end of the video is really nice because of the 3 small badges. In most cases, people just add a single line of text and end their video so it’s really nice to see a bit of creativity here.

Their ad copy isn’t really my style… I don’t like using too many emojis and I prefer explaining a bit about the product in the first line. I know there’s not much to explain about this product, but this is just my way of doing things.

My kind of ad copy(example):

“OMG! Cats LOVE this remote control snake toy ?

Get yours here => *store link*

Order now and get 50% OFF + Free Shipping!”

Targeting:

If you’re testing one interest per adset, you have plenty of interests with big audiences to choose from on Facebook. You can go with general interests like Cat food as you see in the screenshot above or search for big pet food companies.

I usually prefer putting a single big general interest in one adset and combining a few smaller interests together like these pet food companies. Another option would be to target cat celebrities like Nala Cat and others.

Some of these interests are pretty small but you can be sure they have hardcore cat owners there ?

To Sum It Up:

These products potential is HUGE and all you have to do to succeed is to market them correctly and follow the tips in this article.

Hope you liked this week’s article.

Good luck!

Ecomhunt's Trending Product Suggestion - Sell This Mini UFO Drone + Store & Ad Review, Targeting Suggestions, And More

Another week and another amazing winning product recommendation!

This time it’s a really cool kids toy and the timing on this product couldn’t be better. Many countries are going into another lockdown as we speak and parents will be looking for something to keep their children occupied.

This toy is exactly what they need right now and if you market it correctly you can make some really good sales.

I’m going to review this product and show you how I found it(hint: it was on one of Ecomhunt’s new features), and I’m going to see how the original seller marketed it. In this week’s article, you’ll find a complete ad + store review, multiple targeting suggestions, and a sales strategy to help you take this product to new heights.

Enjoy.

find winning products to dropship

1. The Product

Today’s winning product is this awesome mini UFO drone which I think many parents would want to buy for their children. It’s a really nice toy for kids of all ages and now that some countries enter into the third lockdown, this could be a life saver for parents who are looking for a way to keep their kids busy.

Here’s what I like the most about this product:

1. It’s pretty cheap – This product costs about $11 on Aliexpress and we can easily sell it for $29.99 or even $34.99 + Free Shipping. A perfect toy for parents on a budget!

2. It has really amazing reviews – Plenty of photo reviews from people operating this toy and most of them are really happy with their purchase. From the photos, you can also see the packaging and it looks like the seller knows what he’s doing.

Don’t forget to import these reviews to your own store and display them on your product page.

3. This product is exploding in sales on Aliexpress!

This product went from making about 2500 sales a day to almost 6500 a day in just one month! I got this info when I was searching for potential products on Ecomhunt Lucky. Ecomhunt Lucky is one of our newest features where we suggest you what products to sell.

We have 4 smart filters you can use to find products that suit you best. In my case, I was looking for products with a high profit margin and low visits count. I stopped on this product because it caught my attention and because of that huge sales spike.

Here are the Filters I usually use when I’m searching for products on Ecomhunt Lucky:

You can use whatever combination you want and maybe, with a bit of luck, you’ll find you next 4, 5, or even 6-figure winning product. So this time, this great product suggestion is thanks to Ecomhunt Lucky ?

4. It’s really easy to target – All we’ll have to do is to target parents with small children and maybe grandparents. Targeting parents is really simple and I’ll show you how to do that when we get to the targeting suggestions.

5. We’re still in Lockdown – The vaccine is already here but it will take time till it’s delivered to enough people worldwide. Currently, a lot of countries out there are in a lockdown so this means more children will be staying at home with nothing to do. If you market this product correctly, then nothing can stop you from making some bank!

2. The Ad

The video ad is pretty good and there’s almost nothing wrong with it except for these three things:

  1. It’s a kids toy so it would be better to start from the boy and not the grown woman. You can include the woman later in the video or better replace her with other kids who play with this mini UFO drone.
  2. They could’ve used a bit more text to explain a bit better on how the toy actually works. It’s obvious the drone has censors but you still should mention it in the video for those who don’t get it right away.
  3. There’s no call-to-action at the end of the video. A simple “Get yours now – 50% + Free Shipping” text is enough. You should ALWAYS end your video ad with a call-to-action text and mention the current discounts you’re running.

The ad copy:

Really horrible ad copy… Probably a copy from the Aliexpress product page. If you’re having problems with English, just ask someone to do it for you on Fiverr for $5 to avoid stuff like that.

Here’s a good ad copy example if you’re going to run this product right now:

“Your kids are going to LOVE this smart UFO drone – Order yours now and get 50% OFF + Free Shipping!

Get yours here => *store link*

Available in different colors”

This is a simple toy for kids so a short ad copy like the one I suggested is enough. Add a flying saucer emoji somewhere in the ad copy and you’re good.

Important:

Don’t forget the call-t0-action text right next to the Buy Now button. Use something like “Order Yours Now – 50% OFF + Free Shipping!”.

3. The Product Page

As expected, plenty of typos and their description text is making absolutely no sense… They’re clearly selling to the US market so I really don’t understand the reason of not hiring someone to do it for them.

It’s a one-time investment, a necessary one, which could’ve helped them make more sales. Pages like these drive a lot of customers away even if the product is really good so it’s a shame they kept it as it this way.

Other than that, they have trust badges, product guarantees, and they at least try to explain more about the product in their own broken way.

And again, like with many stores I review, there are no reviews!!! Reviews are a MUST on every store, on every product page, so please make sure to import reviews with every product you test. I see no reason not to do that when you have hundreds of photo reviews ready to be imported in 1 click.

Their quantity discounts are a joke.

Come on… For $34.99, you’re making a nice profit of $20+ so give the people a better discount. 5%, 8% are a joke and it’s not tempting at all.

In this case, it just takes extra space on your product page because almost no one is going to buy more than one piece. With this profit margin, you could start from 10% or even 15% and add an additional 5% discount per each extra product.

It also looks like they’re charging a shipping fee because their banner says free shipping for orders over $40, so this move is SUPER cheap.

If the average conversion rate for e-commerce stores is around 2%, then this store is lucky if they got around 0.6%. This is how bad their product page and everything around it really are!

At least, on their checkout page, they didn’t forget to add the logo and even added trust badges to it to make it look more professional. This is something I always mention when reviewing online stores and I’m really amazed that these guys did it by the book.

If you want to take it to the next level and understand exactly how we build our stores, create our campaigns, and run our ads, then check out our Ecomhunt masterclass course. You’ll get access to 70 video lessons which will take you from a beginner to a complete pro! (with some cool bonuses too)

4. Targeting Suggestions

The first option and the most obvious one is to target parents like you see in the photo above. You have ready interests in the Demographics section where you can choose parents with children at a certain age range.

This gives you a pretty decent audience size of 3 million and we can always play with it and maybe target only women, married people, and maybe combine it with gadget interests to find parents who are more into gadgets.

Married parents example:

Parents who like gadgets, drones, smart devices, etc, example:

You can also try grandparents but I suggest you go with parents like in the examples above and add another 2-3 adsets with different combinations. Unlike parents, grandparents is a broad audience and it can take you more time & money to hit the sweet spot.

Another option is to target different countries like Spain and France who together make more than 20% of the sales on Aliexpress. This information can be found in the Ecomhunt Lucky analytics section for each product.

When every dropshipper out there is targeting USA by default, it may be a good decision to start with a different country ?

5. Sales Strategy

The selling price you should go with is at least $29.99 and up to $39.99 with free shipping in both cases. This is a cheap toy with a good profit margin so don’t include any shipping for the checkout process to be smooth. We don’t want customers to stop and think if they should pay $2.99 shipping for this product.

Quantity discounts are a MUST – Give at least 15% OFF for 2 items and an additional 5% OFF for each extra item. Also use a quantity discount app that creates buttons so when you click it the items are already added to the cart.

Unlimited Bundles & Discounts by Revy Apps is my go to app for quantity discounts. It’s entirely free for one single product with no limits so you don’t even have to pay for it if you’re just using it to test this product or if you have a one-product store.

Consider creating a one-product store around this product – If you can manage to wrap this product in a good way and have the time & money for it, then it could bring you even more sales with a much higher profit margin. Branding will make this product look much more high quality than it already is and the conversion rate is usually higher than the market’s average.

Here’s a video from Mordechai Arba, the CEO of Ecomhunt, where he creates a one-product store around a Winter product from scratch. He shows the whole process, including the ad and the sales this store made(and still makes).

For the ads, I would go with a simple CBO campaign with at least 5 adsets. Each adset will have a parents interest combination and a minimum ad spend too. If you’re not sure how to run Facebook CBO ads, make sure to check out our CBO Facebook ads free e-book.

Click the photo above to download our Facebook CBO ads e-book for free or this link right here: https://www.ecomhuntfreebies.com/ultimatecbo

To Sum It Up:

This is a great product to market right now to parents worldwide to help them keep their kids occupied during the new lockdown. As you can see, this product wasn’t advertised at the best time(May), had a really bad ad copy and even worse store, but it still made sales.

Learn from their mistakes and implement everything I told you in this article to take this product and reach it’s true potential!

Good luck.

How To Optimize Your Online Store For Influencer Marketing - Tweak Your Store To Make More Sales With Influencer Marketing

Using Instagram influencers to promote your dropshipping products is a great alternative to Facebook ads. In most cases, it will get you cheaper clicks for your money and results can be much better if you use the right Influencer. But Influencer marketing isn’t a magic solution to your problems and you still won’t get any sales if your store isn’t optimized for conversions.

Fortunately for you, I have prepared this guide to help you optimize your stores for Influencer traffic so that you can get the maximum results possible.

Enjoy 🙂

find winning products to dropship

Influencer Marketing Isn’t Magic – You Can Still Fail If You Don’t Do A Good Research

Before I dive into details on how to optimize your online store for traffic coming from Influencers, you first need to understand that this isn’t a magical 100% working method. You’ve probably seen some videos on Youtube where dropshippers pay Influencers for product promotion, wait a day or two for results, and get back to the video with enough sales to cover what they paid and even more.

It sounds and looks really easy but in reality it doesn’t always work that way…

If you jump on the first Influencer you find on Instagram, you may find yourself getting junk traffic or even no traffic at all. Sometimes the results will be so bad that you wished you spent this money on Facebook ads instead.

Don’t let them tempt you with their low promo prices on their high follower pages – A page with 50k likes but with good engagement and real followers will do MUCH better than a page with 400k fake likes and bad engagement.

So before paying an influencer for a promotion, make sure to check out our article on how to successfully promote products using Instagram Influencers. It’s an older article but still relevant to this day ?

This article will show you how to avoid scammy Influencers and the “Beehive” bot pages, how to get a better promo deal, how to check for engagement, a few small tips regarding your stores, and more.

Install Hotjar – A Must Have If You Use Influencers

Hotjar is a must have tool you need to have installed on your online store. It will show you what the visitors are doing on your store which will help you identify what product works and what doesn’t.

If you have a general or a niche store, you will have a hard time figuring out what product draws the most attention, where your visitors stop from scrolling, to what point of your site they get to before exiting, and more.

So instead of guessing, you should just use Hotjar to know the exact behavior of your customers.

For example:

Heatmaps will show you where your customers click the most, the main focus areas on your store, to where they scrolled, and more data which should give you plenty to work with in order to improve your store.

It could be a product that gets so much attention that it needs its own banner, or maybe a collection located in the lowest part of your store. Figuring these stuff will help you get more from the Influencer traffic you’re driving to your store.

The good part about this is that you don’t have to pay a dime and the basic free plan is more than enough!

Later, when you start getting sales and more traffic, then you can upgrade to the Plus one but for beginners the free versions is just great. You have recordings, heatmaps, 2k pageviews a day, and more stuff you can play with.

Pro tip:

Check your recordings everyday and once you reach 300, delete the old ones to start recording again.

Important:

Hotjar is a great tool to have for any store out there to identify potential bugs and errors. It can be a button that doesn’t work or a broken cart page where your customers have to scroll way too much to find the Checkout button.

Stuff like that can significantly lower your store’s conversion rate so fixing them in time will save you a lot of money!

Is It Better To Have A General Store, Niche Store, Or A One-Product Store When Using Influencers To Drive Traffic?

Next is probably one of the most asked questions when using Influencer marketing and it’s what type of store works the best. Based on my experience and the experience of others, a one-product store that sells in a certain niche is probably the best choice.

If it’s a good product with a real demand in the market, then you can’t really go wrong here. All you have to do is to find a bunch of Influencers related to your product’s niche and test it out. The traffic will see only one product so you can’t really go wrong here.

Second best is a Niche store where all your products are connected to one niche. In this case, you should know what sells the best before you pay for a promotion. Your visitors need to see the best products first if you want to make any sales.

If you don’t have any data on what sells best, then you should conduct a thorough research before driving any traffic.

The worst option is probably a general store where there’s no real connection between the products you sell. In most cases, it’s just a bunch of best sellers and you will have to drive traffic from various Influencers if you want to get sales.

Like I said, even finding the right Influencer will be a problem so I really don’t recommend promoting a general store when using Influencers.

Note:

You’ve probably seen MEME pages promoting “general” stores thinking these are the best Influencers to promote general product stores. But if you look closely, you’ll see that these general stores aren’t that general, and mostly revolve around Anime and Gaming, which is the base audience that follow these MEME pages.

So don’t be tempted to work with these MEME pages thinking you can sell whatever you want.

Optimize Your One-Product Store For Influencer Traffic

One of the best options is to go with a one-product store and to find the relevant Influencers with the right audience for that one product you’re selling. In order to get the maximum out of your promotion, you have to optimize your store for the incoming traffic.

So before paying for a promotion, here’s how you should optimize your store:

1. Forward people straight to the cart page when clicking the Add to Cart button on your product page – This is probably one of the most common mistakes out there and it’s just leaving your customer on the same page after clicking on the cart page.

If you’re using a free theme, which is great to start with your one-product store, by default the settings are set to just a notification instead of actually transferring your customer. Leaving this as it is is going to prolong the buying process and can make your customers a bit confused.

It’s really simple to set it up the way we want to and all you’ll have to do is to uncheck the cart notification option in your theme settings. You can read all about it in our Ultimate hacks for dropshippers guide where I show you how to disable the Add to Cart notification.

2. Design your front page the right way – This is a bit general but the front page of a one-product store needs to be like a closed loop. No matter what you do or what you click, you’ll be transferred to the product page.

Clickable banner, Buy now link in the main menu, Gifs with buttons on them, product preview on the main page, and more tweaks so that your customers doesn’t have to scroll too much to find a Buy Now button.

Luckily for you, we have probably one of the best ways to teach you how to build the perfect one-product dropshipping store – It’s a 3 part video that shows you exactly how to create a fully optimized one-product store and all the tweaks we’re done to make it actually work.

Mordechai Arba, the CEO of Ecomhunt, is the one who’s going to guide you through. The whole process is recorded which means you will get to see the original video ad he created, the additional tweaks he made, and the actual sales the product made using Facebook ads.

3. Create a special discount for your Influencer visitors – If you’re looking for ways to convert the traffic better, then a special discount code for your new visitors is a good option to start with. You can use a special discount code and include the name of the Influencer in it or just welcome the new visitors with a cute banner.

For example:

  • If you’re Influencer is a cat celebrity page named “Fluff The Fat Cat”, then you can make a special 10% discount code looks like this: “Fluff10”. Ask the Influencer to write the code in the original promo post and advertise it also on your store.
  • Create a special banner with a neat design welcoming the visitors coming from a specific Influencer page. Something as simple as a banner with a “Welcome Fluff The Fat Cat fans! Enjoy a special 10% discount on our kitty chewing toy by using the code Fluff10.” text is enough.

4. Lower your base prices – Unlike with Facebook, Influencer traffic is in most cases cheaper but you can never know the quality until you test it. With Facebook ads, especially when your pixel has enough data, you can be sure Facebook is looking for buyers. With Influencer marketing, your traffic won’t be of the same quality for sure but at least there will be much more traffic than what you get with FB.

So to maximize your chances of getting sales, you should consider lowering your base prices. You’re testing the waters so if you can eliminate the price barrier, you will know if your promotion is good enough to get sales. If you barely get any sales with low prices, you may have issues with the shipping, ad, store, or even the product(that depends where you get it from).

5. Offer multiple payment options – You can never know what payment option the fans of the Influencer you use prefer, so make sure you can accept PayPal and CC at least. If you don’t have that option, make it as clear as possible on how you accept payments and mention workarounds if such exist.

For example(If you have only PayPal): You can pay with a credit card on PayPal without having an actual account with them. Letting people know about this and guiding them with pictures should help you get more sales from people who only have credit cards. You can add some screenshots of the guest checkout page on your product page and even writing a few words on the payment page about it.

Optimize Your Niche Store For Influencer Traffic

Niche store optimization is similar to a one-product one but it requires more research and probably more spending. Unlike a one-product store, niche store has multiple products so the most important part is to decide what product gets the spotlight.

It’s almost the same as browsing Youtube: You’re getting the results based on your interests and the content creators are competing for your click with shiny thumbnails. Now translate the Youtube experience into a niche store and you have a winning formula!

In our case, we have to catch our visitor’s attention with a shiny winning product and convert him as fast as possible into a paying customer. Here’s how we do it:

1. Show your winners first – Play it safe by showing your visitors the best sellers based on your analytics or Ecomhunt analytics. If you don’t have any info about what sells best, take the best sellers on Ecomhunt and check which one of the products is trending the most by using Ecomhunt LIVE. If a winning product in your niche is also trending on Ecomhunt LIVE, you should display it first.

2. Upgrade your product pictures – Make your best sellers look more appealing on your front page. Look for HQ pictures, put a border around them, add some promo text, basically anything that will attract more attention. Consider Fiverr GIGs if you have trouble upgrading your pictures.

3. Organize your store – Create categories and make the navigation easy to understand. Customers can get easily lost if your store isn’t organized and doesn’t have the categories people are looking for. Your best seller can be a doggy chewing toy but maybe the customer who’s about to spend his money is looking for a cute dog bed. If you don’t have a “Pet Bed” category, then you’re about to lose a sale.

4. Have at least one product for each popular category – The best way to do that is by checking for popular categories in your niche on Amazon and other websites and adding them to your store. Then look for products in that category on Ecomhunt and import them to your store.

5. Don’t be lazy about descriptions – You can never know which product will sell next so don’t half-ass your product descriptions on the less popular products. Create a normal, full description for each product on your store. It may take time but at lease you won’t lose sales because of that.

6. Prepare an email marketing strategy – You should prepare all the base emails every store should have to squeeze even more from your new customers. Welcome email to those who signup to your newsletter, Thank you emails to those who buy(add a special discount for the next purchase), regular weekly emails where you push more products, and more.

You can easily do it with Mailchimp or you can use a Shopify app like Abandonment Protector to do it automatically for you + get some of your lost sales back. This Shopify app has ready templates you can use to create stunning emails to be automatically sent out to your email subscribers. Requires absolutely ZERO knowledge and you will have some basic email marketing setup and ready to get you more sales.

7. Increase your AOV with bundles and upsells – You have multiple products on your store so why not test a bundle to increase your Average Order Value. There are plenty of apps on Shopify that can create a bundle for you in a few clicks so test it out and see if people pick it up.

I personally prefer to run it first as it is without any bundles or upsells just to see how the product converts. If it goes well, then I can test an upsell or create a bundle to see if it gets me more or slows down my sales.

Important:

Bundles and Upsells can slow down the purchase process because the customer is going to check the second product you offer. I recommend adding products without too many options so the process is faster.

For example:

If you’re selling a dog pet bed, then a deluxe chewing toy with only one color option is a good choice. It’s cheap and self explainable so some customers won’t even bother checking the details on that product. Instead, if you offer dog snacks then the customers will have to check the product details which will make the purchase process much slower.

Optimize Your General Store For Influencer Traffic

I really don’t recommend starting out with a general store but if you insist, you need to know that it’s a combination of both one-product store + niche store optimizations. You’ll have to upgrade your main page product pictures, put your best sellers first, and prepare some kind of welcome promo code or banner.

The difference this time is that your products are completely random which makes it much harder to get the right audience for you. No matter how good the product is, if you bring the wrong people it will not be sold… Get ready to spend big amounts of money on promotions just to see what works and what doesn’t.

The only way I see this working is if you’re the actual owner of the Influencer page, which gives you infinite amounts of promotions to figure out what products work best.

To Sum It Up

Influencer marketing is a great alternative to Facebook ads and with the right Influencer + audience, you can get much better results. But before that, you have to make sure you’re all set up and ready to make the maximum from the traffic you’re about to receive.

[New Feature] Ecomhunt Tracker - Find Your Next Winning Product Before Anyone Else!

Introducing Ecomhunt Tracker – Your personal monitor to help you find your next winning product.

Ecomhunt Tracker is a new feature designed to help you track the performance of any product on Aliexpress and its sales. Use this feature to track products of your interest and be the first one to spot any change in popularity to quickly start selling it before anyone else.

You can track any product on Aliexpress and soon we’ll also have Facebook ads tracker and Shopify store tracker.

Start using Ecomhunt Tracker: https://tracker.ecomhunt.com/

(You must have an account on Ecomhunt.com to start using Ecomhunt Tracker)

find winning products to dropship

1. How To Start Using Ecomhunt Tracker?

As with all our features, you will need to have an account on Ecomhunt.com to start using the tracker. Sign up to Ecomhunt if you haven’t done so yet, activate your email, and click the Get Started now button on the top right corner to login.

Sign in with the same account email & password to begin using the tracker.

2. How To Track A Product From Aliexpress?

To track a product from Aliexpress, you need to click on the red ‘+’ icon and provide the URL of the product.

COPY-PASTE the link into the box and click on the green Monitor button to add your product to the tracker. You can COPY-PASTE the full link or the product id – The product id can be found right after the “/item/” in the URL.

Important:

Every new product you add to the tracker won’t be available for the first 24 hours and all you’ll see is N/A. It takes our system about 24 hours to collect all the sales data so don’t be scared as it’s not a bug ?

Here’s how your dashboard will look like when our system is successfully tracking your products:

3. What Does Ecomhunt Tracker Offer?

Our newest feature lets you track the performance over time of any product on Aliexpress and monitor its sales. This feature is a HUGE game changer for dropshippers as it allows us to spot any change in the performance on Aliexpress before anyone else.

For example:

A product you added to the tracker a few months ago that didn’t make too many sales suddenly shows a tremendous growth in sales during the Winter. It could be because of Winter season or maybe it suddenly went viral somewhere, but the reason doesn’t really matter.

What matters is the sudden growth in performance which means more people are looking to buy it, so our job is to quickly import this product to our store, prepare some video ads, and launch them to make some bank!

4. Ecomhunt Tracker Product Data

Ecomhunt tracker doesn’t just monitor each product’s sales – It also tracks the wish amount, growth over time, and even reviews! You’ll have plenty of data for each product to decide if you want to sell it or not.

You’ll get sales & wish data for the last 7 and 30 days for each product:

And if you want to access the daily stats, you’ll have to check the graph:

Important:

When you add a product to your tracking list, it will begin tracking from the day it was added if it’s not in our database. This means that it will take some time for it to report back the actual growth over time as it’s a totally new product.

For example:

If you’re tracking a new product for only a week and it has already made 200 sales, then the stats will show the last 7 and 30 days with the same amount of sales. It will only change after you track the product for more than a month.

If the product is already in our database, then we will automatically show you the past data for it so you can see the accurate growth over time and all the other data.

5. Ecomhunt Tracker Pro Tips

Here are a few tips on how you can use the Ecomhunt tracker to find your next winner:

1. Monitor seasonal products – Go to Aliexpress and search for seasonal products to add to your tracking list. If it’s Winter, you can search for a bunch of Winter products like shoes, coats, home appliances, and more. Let the tracker do it’s magic and check the stats on weekly basis to see which one of the items grows the most. When you see a sudden change in performance, like a big sales growth compared to previous month, then consider testing this product to score some quick sales.

2. Monitor old winning products – There are plenty of winning products on Ecomhunt that sell again and again. There’s plenty of examples of products like these such as the posture corrector, calming pet bed, and more. Add these winners to your tracking list and try catching a product when there’s a spike in sales on Aliexpress. When you see a big spike in sales, import the product to your store and sell it before anyone else!

3. Compare between products – If you can’t decide what product to test next, then let our tracker do it for you. Add the products to your tracking list and test the ones with the best performance over time.

To Sum It Up:

You can now track any product you want on Aliexpress and get LIVE data for it back. The best part about Ecomhunt Tracker is that it’s a personal tool and you can potentially find a product that explodes in sales and be the first one to sell it.

Use the Pro tips I suggested in this article to find your next winning product!

Good luck.
