Apple’s advertising is booming since it started making updates to its system that can block tracking from Facebook and Google ads.
“@Apple’s advertising business has more than tripled its market share in the six months after it introduced privacy changes to iPhones that obstructed rivals,” tweeted Patrick McGee, who covers tech for the Financial Times.
Facebook has been struggling to deal with the tracking changes by Apple and announced last week improvements to its ads and measurement.
“We’re improving campaign reporting for iOS 14+ users through Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM), making it clearer which ads are responsible for conversions, like a purchase or app install, while continuing to honor the privacy and tracking preferences people make on Facebook,” said Graham Mudd, the VP of Product Marketing for Facebook.
Mudd also said, “In addition to new products and improvements, we’re also evolving our approach to building ad measurement solutions.”
These are among the adjustments Facebook is making in response to the Apple updates.
Here are four quick tips that will help you land more sales this Christmas.
From store customization to some really important product research tips, this article is a must read if you want to get more sales this Christmas.
And not just during the holidays – Some of these tips are general and will help you to convert your customers better and FASTER.
Make sure to read the whole article because some of these tips are golden!
Enjoy.
1. Christmas Isn’t Just About Gifts…
Christmas is a wonderful holiday where people tend to spend a lot more money than usual on buying gifts for their friends and loved ones.
Because of that, many dropshippers tend to look for products that can be sold as gifts and tend to market these products that way as well.
This alone isn’t a mistake but it does limit the amount of products you can potentially sell…
Instead, you should understand that Christmas is about spending money and that any product can be a winner during this season.
Let’s take the product below as an example:
This product isn’t your typical “Christmasy” product – It isn’t really the best product to offer up as a gift, but it’s still a great product that many housewives need. It solves a problem and it’s just in time for the rainy season.
You can sell this product during Christmas without marketing it as a gift and people will still buy because it is needed. And the best thing is not only the good sales you’ll get, it’s also the ability to keep selling this product long after Christmas.
So as a rule, don’t just ignore a product just because it doesn’t appear as a great gift. Remember that any product will be selling better than usual during Christmas, and people will be buying stuff just because they have the extra money to do so.
2. A One-Product Store Can Do Wonders!
It’s not a secret that one-product stores tend to have a much better conversion rate than general dropshipping stores.
The reason to the higher conversion rate is mostly the branding job which makes a regular product suddenly seem like a premium one. Not only that people are now more likely to buy this product, they’re also good with spending more money for it.
Overall, a one-product store with a good branding work behind it can bring much more sales and net a much bigger profit than if it was a general store.
So what are the downsides?
You’ll have to spend more on a custom logo, a domain name, and on other designs(like custom banners) to make your customers really think that it’s a premium branded product.
It may sound a bit scary and not that inviting, especially if you’re planning to do it alone, but I have the perfect guide that will show you how to do it with minimal costs.
Make sure to check out this video:
It’s a 4-part Youtube video series from Ecomhunt’s CEO Mordechai Arba where he shows you how to create a one-product store from scratch.
Every little detail is covered including the small special tweaks to really increase your store’s conversion rate and make more sales.
So instead of testing dozens of products and selling them on your general dropshipping store, you can take your time and search for that one product that has potential to really explode if it was advertised as a branded product.
This is a gamble but one that can really change your dropshipping game so it’s worth a shot ?
Almost any business out there, be it a physical or an online one, is doing at least some design changes during Christmas to bring more customers.
You don’t have to be scientist to understand that if you manage to lift up the mood of your customers, they’ll be more willing to spend their money in your store.
If you’re a physical store you’ll have to work a few extra hours on your Christmas decorations, but for online store it’s a few button clicks and you’re good to go.
So take a good look at the available Christmasy Shopify apps, test them, and choose the one that fits you best. And don’t forget to test out the White Christmas app – It’s free.
4. Less Choices = Quicker Sales
If you follow our weekly news articles(you definitely should!), you’ve probably seen our article about how having too many choices affects the store’s conversion rate.
Long story short, the article shows a study where it was proved that too many choices can actually hurt your sales and not increase them.
The article cites a study in 2000, where psychologists Sheena Iyengar and Mark Lepper found that shoppers were much more likely to buy when presented with fewer choices. In their research, they offered shoppers in a market 24 different kinds of jam and on a different day only six. While the larger choice of jam attracted more attention, the people who saw the small display were 90% more likely to purchase.
It’s nice to have a big variety of colors/designs available, but it isn’t always the right decision to display them ALL on your store.
Let’s take the all-time popular pet bed product that everyone is selling nowadays:
Does it really need to have all these color choices? Is the color really that important for pet owners? We all know the answer to these questions…
Instead of offering 15 color choices, we can just offer 3-4 colors and get done with it. Our customers will choose the color they like much faster and proceed to the checkout.
The next time you import a product from Aliexpress, think about if you really need to import all the variants or not.
To Sum It Up
Christmas isn’t only about gifts and you can sell any product as long as it’s needed. Do your research, customize your store, and don’t just import all the variants from Aliexpress. I hope this article is going to help you land more sales this Christmas!

The dropshipping model could be the easiest way to start an e-commerce business that sells physical products without having to store or ship them yourself.
According to a recent report on the website, Retail Technology Innovation Hub, it argues that dropshipping “will replace traditional warehousing for e-commerce businesses in the future.” In fact, this is already happening.
Before dropshipping, stores would have to buy their products in bulk and store them and ship them. It was an expensive and risky option for small and new businesses.
Dropshipping also saves time for the business owner when it comes to shipping and storage, as the wholesaler will take care of this.
Another advantage of dropping, the article said, is that it provides you with a wider variety of products.
However, once you find a winning product, you can order the product in bulk to a warehouse and have them fulfill the orders for you. Better yet, perhaps your supplier has a warehouse in the country where you want to sell.
Facebook is testing a new feature that would allow users to cross-post their Facebook posts that include photos or videos over to their Instagram.
The feature would save users time from having to upload the same media twice in two different apps and make sure Instagram continues to get new content at a time it faces stiff competition from TikTok and Snapchat, according to a report by TechCrunch.
It is already possible to cross-post from Instagram Stories and Reels to Facebook.
The feature began to be rolled out earlier this month and is limited to a small group of people who already have their Facebook profiles linked to an Instagram account.
Facebook is also looking into allowing users to make voice and video calls right from Facebook instead of opening the Messenger app, according to the report.
Google announced recently that it is now going to allow users to view past ads an advertiser has run with Google.
The features like “About this ad” are going to provide users with information about why the ad was shown to them and to mute ads and advertisers they are not interested in, Google said in a statement on Sept. 22.
Google already took moves in the spring to require Google advertisers to verify information about their businesses, where they operate from, and what they are selling or promoting.
“This transparency helps users learn more about the company behind a specific ad. It also helps differentiate credible advertisers in the ecosystem, while limiting the ability of bad actors to misrepresent themselves,” the company said.
Another feature is a new advertiser page that allows a user to see the ads an advertiser has run over the past 30 days. Advertiser pages will be available in the coming months in the United States and roll out to other countries in 2022.
The new system also allows for users to more easily report ads they deem to be violating Google policies.
Popular dropship influencer Peter Pru had his email expert Jordan Strauss go through the impact of the new iOS 15 update and how this could impact your email marketing in his recent Youtube video.
“This only affects reporting from clients who use Apple Apps for receiving and reading email,” said Strauss. This update will also make email sent to those that use Apple mail as read even if they did not open it.
However, he said, if they are using any other mail app besides Apple mail such as Gmail or another email service provider, it will not be affected.
As a result of the update, some people are going to think email marketing has no future, but it only could be negative if you have many users using Apple mail, which is unlikely.
Don’t panic, continued Strauss, just understand that this is part of the game, and “those that survive will thrive.”
“Stop worshiping open rates,” he added, but “you can’t pay your bills from email open rates.” The key metric is sales, not open rates, said.
3 Hot Winning Products From Ecomhunt To Sell This Christmas 2021
If you’re looking for products to sell this Christmas 2021, then we have the perfect winning product suggestions coming straight from Ecomhunt.
Check out these 3 hot products that you absolutely MUST sell this Q4!
One of the products is currently EXPLODING on Facebook as we speak, so it’s your chance to jump on the hype train and sell it too.
The second one is a cute product from the dog niche with a big potential, but it still doesn’t have too much traction on Facebook(Read the article to find out why).
And the third one is an old “saturated” product most of you will probably miss, but I think that it’s the best one from the list if you can market it correctly ?
These products are just waiting for the right dropshipper, so don’t sit on this and sell them now!
1. The Snuffle Ball
Christmas presents aren’t only for humans! A lot of dog owners worldwide will be looking to treat their 4-legged friends, and our job is to help them find that cute little product and eventually sell it to them as well ?
The snuffle ball product was posted on Ecomhunt 4 days ago and it’s doing pretty well on Facebook. It looks like the seller is still testing the waters, but people are definitely interested.
It’s only a matter of time till this product really picks up on Facebook and goes viral. I think the problem could be the video ad this seller is running which isn’t the best…
The beginning is a bit boring, the music doesn’t really fit in, and the footage in general isn’t the best. A $10 Fiverr gig will probably get you a much better video ad than this one.
My Recommendations:
Hire a video ad creator to create a more engaging ad than this one. Make sure they include footage of happy dogs using this toy, have a good scroll-stopper, and a nice call-to-action text at the end of your video.
Target small dog breeds first… It looks like big dogs will chew through this toy in no time, so small dogs is your best option.
Offer quantity discounts! People tend to have more than one dog(especially if they’re small) at home and it’s possible they’ll buy more than one piece.
Offer Free Shipping – Don’t complicate stuff for your customers and just offer free shipping. Calculate the shipping costs and add them to the product price.
Invest 70% of your ad budget on targeting women, and the rest on men. Women engage more than men and it’s likely the majority of your sales will come from them as well.
Other than that, make sure your online store is optimized for the upcoming traffic so that your customers can easily checkout without any issues.
This product is currently EXPLODING on Facebook with tons of engagement from parents and grandparents that just found the perfect Christmas gift for their little ones.
This product was posted on Ecomhunt about 2 days ago when it had “only” 16k likes and almost 5k comments:
Two days later, and this product has already 23k likes and almost 6k comments! This product is crazy viral and it’s your chance to jump on the hype train and sell it too.
The video ad isn’t anything special and it just quickly shows how this product works.
This is an example of a simple ad that still works – You don’t have to always create 30sec-1min video ads explaining every little detail of the product you’re selling.
My Recommendations:
Create a new fresh video ad from new footage – There’s plenty of unused footage you can show to your audience, and you can always approach Aliexpress sellers and ask them for new videos/images. Most of them will have no problem providing new footage to dropshippers that can only increase their sales.
Target different countries rather than targeting USA by default. You may find faster success targeting countries other dropshippers haven’t touched.
Offer an additional discount for 2 pieces or more to increase your AOV(Average Order Value).
This is a high quality toy, so don’t be afraid to mark it up a bit more than usual. Instead of selling it for $29.99, try going for $39.99 or even $49.99 to profit a lot more. When it comes to children, parents are willing to pay any sum!
Parents are your main audience but don’t forget about the grandparents. Approach grandparents directly by tweaking your ad a bit and offer this toy as the BEST educational Christmas gift for their grandchildren.
Don’t wait too much on this product and start selling it now!
3. Electric Clothes Dryer
Now this product isn’t a new one and you won’t find it in the first pages on Ecomhunt. This is an old product which most dropshippers would consider “saturated”.
So why do I still recommend you to dropship this exact product?
Andthe answer is: Just because it’s an old product, this doesn’t mean it’s not a winner…
You see, with the right ad and the right marketing strategy, you can take an old product that exploded in the past and sell it again.
This product has already proved that it can sell in huge numbers, so all it needs now is a new & fresh ad and you can make some bank again.
There’s plenty of example online of old winning products making HUGE comebacks and selling again, so it’s really important to stay open minded and not reject a product only because the post date.
We even made a Youtube video about this:
Make sure to check out this video just to see how the same products that sold like crazy in the past are doing it again.
My Recommendations:
Create a fresh new video ad for this product – As I already said, if you want to sell an old product successfully, you have to show something new to your target audience. Using the same footage or copying an old ad just won’t make it.
It doesn’t have to be the same product – Each day, there’s a new variation of an old product that appears on Aliexpress. Do some research and maybe you’ll find a new and upgraded version of the same product.
Do your own ads – If you’re having a hard time finding new footage, I recommend making your own ads. Either ship it to yourselves and make a simple video ad with your phone, or use something like Fiverr review gig to get someone else to use and review the product for you.
Offer a good discount – Offering a good discount can be a game changer! Quantity discounts, cheap price(if possible), free gift included with the product, and other options… Be creative about your pricing strategy and maybe this will be your breakthrough
What I like the most about this product is that it doesn’t have to stop selling after Christmas. The cold season is here and soon it will be raining in almost every part of the world.
Your job is to show them this product and eventually sell it to them. Think of a new marketing plan, create a new ad, and you’ll definitely make some sales.
To Sum It Up
I hope this article helped you decide on where to get the best video ads for your dropshipping business and how to do it if you still want to try the solo way.
With Christmas just around the corner, I think it’s best to to test as much products as possible and this means prioritizing your time for the important stuff first.
It would be nice to save money on video ads, but it will limit the amount of products you can actually test… It’s up to you from this point forward ?
Good Luck!

CEO and founder of Ecomhunt Mordechai Arba said that Apple’s iOS updates are really messing with Facebook ads and their effectiveness.
“They will lose a lot of money in the near future and I predict the drop will continue in the next few years as well,” said Arba. He also sees Instagram declining in the long run.
“A new generation of social media platforms like TikTok are popping up and this trend will likely continue,” he said. “Facebook and Instagram are becoming too saturated with advertisers, many pushing similar products.”
Arba predicts that there will be new technological breakthroughs that look at consumer data in a whole different way. He sees unforeseen technological advances as the cause for an industry shake-up.
“E-commerce such as the way we know it with the smartphone will continue to evolve, perhaps in new and unexpected ways,” he continued.
“Even the smartphone as we know it now may become outdated and a technological disruption could completely change the game,” said Arba.
Facebook is changing the way it connects Facebook and Instagram accounts of users, giving the user the choice to connect the accounts or not, and that this will now be taken into account in ads measurement.
“This update aligns with trends of offering people more control over how their information is used for ads and is consistent with evolving advertising, privacy and regulatory environments,” said Graham Mudd, VP of Ads & Business Product Marketing at Facebook in a statement on Monday.
Facebook began notifying advertisers in June about its planned changes on how it counts people for ads and starting on Monday if a user does not have their Facebook and Instagram accounts linked in Accounts Center, “we will consider those accounts as separate people for ads planning and measurement,” he explained.
If the accounts are connected then they will be counted as one person. This change will be carried out in the coming weeks.
Until now, Facebook counted the Facebook and Instagram accounts as one person if Facebook assumed they were connected because of the use of the same email address or because the user accessed the two accounts from the same device.
“There will be increases in pre-campaign estimates such as estimated audience size, but for most campaigns we do not believe this will have a substantial impact on reported campaign reach,” said Mudd.
Giving customers more choices is thought by many to be good marketing, but it can actually cause the buyer to overthink and delay making a decision.
Research shows that too much choice causes consumers to buy less if anything at all, and even if they buy, they tend to be less satisfied with their purchase, according to an article published in the Harvard Business Review.
Other research has found similar results and that more choice leads to “choice paralysis,” the article notes.
You need to try to find the right balance of how much choice to give customers.
