Nearly half of YouTube and Instagram users in the US said they saw more adverts on those platforms, and 52% of Facebook users in the US said the same about the social network.
According to Insider Intelligence/eMarketer, less than 10% of users on the social platforms we surveyed thought ad load had lessened.
Following Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, TikTok held the fourth spot for users feeling the number of ads had increased. Reddit and Linkedin were at the bottom of the list of those believing ads had increased.
The most common people to report encountering unpleasant ads were Facebook users.
