Newsletter advertising is becoming a critical tool growing in popularity but remains largely untapped.
According to an article by SocialMediaToday, many marketers neglect email.
“Newsletter advertising is the process of placing sponsored content in email newsletters to get in front of subscribers,” said the article.
Newsletter sponsorships are carried out in partnership with the publisher and advertiser. The publisher can help shape the newsletter to fit its style and audience.
The other kind of newsletter advertising is programmatic ads, where advertisers can run placements in multiple newsletters in one campaign.
A benefit of this type of marketing is that a trusted newsletter can bypass ad blockers and reach the intended audience in their inbox.
