Google’s net ad revenue is slowing, including from YouTube.
According to Insider Intelligence/eMarketer, Google’s net ad revenue jumped by 40.4% in 2020 from the previous year and then declined to 13.4% growth in 2022. Ad revenue is projected to only increase by 8.2% in 2023 and 6.7% in 2024.
Google parent Alphabet reported its first-quarter results on Tuesday and showed that the YouTube ad business slowed because of the Ukraine war, reported Reuters.
YouTube’s ad sales reached $6.9 billion but missed analysts’ expectations of hitting $7.5 billion, according to Factset.
