Facebook parent company Meta announced on Thursday that it is testing more ways for users and brands to control the News Feed.
“As part of this, people can now increase or reduce the amount of content they see from the friends, family, Groups and Pages,” the company said in a statement.
Testing will start in various countries and expand in the coming weeks.
In addition, the company is expanding News Feed control for businesses and testing with a limited number of advertisers in English.
“Advertisers can select three topics – News and Politics, Social Issues, and Crime & Tragedy. When an advertiser selects one or more topics, their ad will not be delivered to people recently engaging with those topics in their News Feed,” stated Meta.
The company said it plans to develop further content-based controls.
