Meta has announced the addition of support for lengthier Facebook Reels of up to 90 seconds and some new creative capabilities.
Facebook Reels were previously limited to 60 seconds. Last week’s announcement comes several months after Meta introduced support for longer Instagram Reels of up to 90 seconds.
TikTok expanded after entering YouTube’s territory with videos that may be up to 10 minutes long instead of just three.
According to Meta, Reels has been and continues to be their fastest-growing format.
Last year, Facebook debuted Reels, which was considered as an important element of Meta’s answer to the TikTok threat.
