After seeing a decline in share during the holiday shopping season, the British online clothes market’s maturity should be called into question, the owner of Primark’s finance department stated on Tuesday.
“You’ve got to start to question the maturity now of online in the United Kingdom,” John Bason, finance director of Associated British Foods, told Reuters, highlighting a fall in online clothing’s market share.
After two years of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, people returned to physical shopping for the Holiday season in 2022.
