According to a Happy Returns survey commissioned by PayPal, 81% of US adult digital consumers evaluate return policies before making a first-time purchase, and 55% abandon their basket if return procedures are inconvenient.
According to a forecast by Insider Intelligence/eMarketer, the total return volume in the United States will reach $931.85 billion next year.
By 2027, that sum will surpass $1 trillion. One of the advantages that sets Amazon Prime apart from other shops is its free and quick returns.
The data also revealed that 73% of shoppers see a poor return experience as a reason to stop shopping with a particular store.
